5.5 Properties of Quadrilateralsi liked learning about the properties of quadrilaterals because it was interesting to see how the different shapes have different shapes that make them unique. like a kite has two pairs of adjacent sides that are congruent, where as a rhombus has all sides congruent, opposite angles congruent, and opposite sides parallel to each other.

I chose this problem because at first I had trouble with it. I would sit at the kitchen table at night, putting them together in endless combinations. But to little avail. Bet then, after days of trying, I finally got it! And, my shape was symmetrical. But then, when I got to class the next day, I found out that one of the rules that had made it so hard for me wasn’t a rule after all. I am glad I did it the hard way because it gives me a better feeling of accomplishment. And it just looks cooler. :)

"The mathematician does not study pure mathematics because it is useful; he studies it because he delights in it and he delights in it because it is beautiful."
My reaction to this quote is that sometimes math is beautiful. Like how everything just sorta fits together. Everything is connected and makes sense. I like studying geometry. I also enjoyed studying Algebra 1 last year. I think that math is my favorite subject.
