Today I started by putting the AutoBox back together. I got the silver internal plates all cleaned up and put them on there. I put every one except the front plate where the decal goes, because we still had to put the decal on and I thought it would be easier if the plate wasn't installed. As I was in the process of putting the plates on, Rawlin came in and told me that Libby was here to visit. So he brought Betsy and Libby in to the Engineering room and we talked about what I had been doing while at StoneAge. Everybody was interested in my "hippy van", which I had mentioned in an earlier post. So we went upstairs and I showed Libby where I sat and what I had done while working with SolidWorks. Then we talked for a little longer until Libby had to leave. Then I went back to the engineering room to finish putting the AutoBox together.
When I was finished with the AutoBox, I came back upstairs and started working on my project for my exhibition. Then I started working on a project that Rawlin had given me. The project was to design different kinds of pipe flanges using a data sheet that corresponded to the different dimensions of each flange. I started with doing the 4in pipe size first. I got through most of them pretty quickly. The only two I had trouble with was the Weld Neck and the Threaded versions. The Weld Neck version had a spot that didn't have a dimension, so I kind of had to guess on what that was. The other one, the Threaded, had a letter that didn't correspond to a value. Also I don't really know how to make threads, so I was kind of stuck there. I tried to use the tapered pipe tap, but I wasn't really sure if I was doing it right. By the time I got to the Threaded one, it was time for me to go.
